The Galway Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals are on this Sunday in Kenny Park, Athenry, with two mouth-watering clashes down for decision. First up at 2pm is Clarinbridge against Tynagh Abbey Duniry, followed at 3.45pm when Loughrea take on favourites Portumna.

It is usually difficult and can take a few years for most teams to adjust to the step-up from intermediate to senior level in either hurling or football.

The Cooper Senior Hurling Championship quarter-finals are down for decision this weekend with one game on Saturday evening, and the other games taking place in Ballinasloe and Athenry on Sunday.
